Burnt Church Distillery ("Burnt Church," "we," "us," or "our"), located at 120 Bluffton Rd, Bluffton, SC 29910, is a brand of Moon King Entertainment Group. We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, and the choices and rights available to you.
This policy applies to the Burnt Church Distillery website, including our online shop. When you subscribe to our newsletter, place an online order, or purchase a gift card, Moon King Entertainment Group is the entity responsible for the information you provide. Moon King Entertainment Group's other brands include The Bank, Hail Mary's Spirits & Sports Bar, Amethyst NA Spirits, Side Hustle Brewing Co., Old Route 69 Brewery, and The Press Room.
Information We Collect
Newsletter sign-ups: When you sign up for our newsletter through a form on our website, we collect your email address. We do not require any other personal information to subscribe.
Online orders: When you purchase spirits or mercantile items through our online shop, we collect the information needed to complete and deliver your order, including your name, email address, phone number, billing and shipping addresses, the items you purchase, and your order history. Payment card details are collected and processed by Shopify and its payment processors; we do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Age verification: Because spirits may only be sold to adults 21and older, we collect your date of birth or confirmation of your age before you can purchase spirits, and we or a third-party age verification service may request additional information to confirm your age before an order ships. For spirits deliveries, the carrier will also check the recipient's government-issued photo identification.
Gift card purchases: When you purchase a gift card, we collect the information needed to complete that purchase, including your name, email address, billing address, and the amount of the purchase. If you are sending the gift card to someone else, we also collect the recipient's name, email address, and any personal message you choose to include. Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Toast, our payment and gift card provider; we do not receive or store your full payment card number.
Information collected automatically: We also collect certain technical information when you visit our site, such as your IP address, browser type, and pages viewed, through cookies and similar technologies. See the Cookies section below for details.
How We Use Your Information
We use your email address to send you newsletters, new release announcements, event invitations, promotions, and updates about Burnt Church Distillery and Moon King Entertainment Group's other brands. We use online order information to process, fulfill, and ship your order, verify that you are of legal age to purchase spirits, confirm that spirits can be legally shipped to your address, send order confirmations and shipping updates, handle returns and customer service requests, and comply with our tax, accounting, and legal obligations, including alcohol sales and reporting requirements. We use gift card purchase information to process and fulfill your order, deliver the gift card to you or your chosen recipient, provide customer service, and maintain records of the transaction. We use automatically collected technical information to understand how visitors use our site and to improve its performance.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party. Placing an online order or purchasing a gift card does not automatically subscribe you to our newsletter; we send marketing emails only to people who have opted in.

Who Has Access to Your Information
We share your information only with the service providers and fulfillment partners that help us operate our website and business. Our service providers act as data processors on our behalf and are not permitted to use your information for their own marketing purposes.
- Webflow — hosts our website and processes form submissions on our behalf.
- Mailchimp —stores our subscriber list and sends newsletters and marketing emails on our behalf.
- Shopify — runs our online shop, processes spirits and mercantile orders, handles payment card information, and stores order and customer records on our behalf.
- Big Thirst, Inc. and its licensed retailer partners — receive the order, contact, shipping, and age verification information needed to sell and ship online spirits orders. The retailer partner that accepts your order is the seller of record and also uses this information to meet its own legal obligations.
- Shipping carriers — receive your name, shipping address, and phone number to deliver your order, and check the recipient's age and identification when delivering spirits.
- Toast — processes gift card purchases, handles payment card information, and issues and tracks gift card balances for our brands.
- Google Analytics — helps us understand website traffic, as described in the Cookies section below.
We may also disclose information when required by law, in response to valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our guests and staff.
Online Orders and Shipping
Our online shop is powered by Shopify. When you place an order, Shopify processes your payment and stores your order record, including the items purchased, shipping details, and order status. Shopify's handling of your information is governed by its own privacy policy, which you can review at shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Online spirits orders are processed and fulfilled by licensed retailer partners of Big Thirst, Inc. To complete a spirits order, we share your name, contact information, shipping address, order details, and age verification information with Big Thirst and the retailer partner that accepts your order. That retailer partner is the seller of record and may retain your information as required by the alcohol laws that apply to the sale. Returns and claims for spirits orders are handled by the fulfilling retailer partner and Big Thirst, Inc., and we may share relevant order details with them to resolve your request.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are sold and administered through Toast. When you buy a gift card, Toast processes your payment and stores the gift card record, including its balance and redemption history. If you send a gift card to another person, we and Toast will use that recipient's email address to deliver the gift card and any related delivery notifications. We do not add gift card recipients to our marketing list.

How Long We Keep Your Information
We retain your email address for as long as you remain subscribed to our newsletter, or until you ask us to remove it. We retain online order records, including age verification records, for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, and alcohol sales laws, and as long as needed to handle returns, claims, and customer service. We retain gift card and transaction records for as long as the gift card remains active and for the period required by applicable tax, accounting, and unclaimed property laws. Technical information collected through cookies is retained according to the retention periods set by the relevant cookie provider (for example, Google Analytics).
Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration, and we work with established providers that maintain their own security programs. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

- Request deletion of your information
- Restrict or object to certain processing
