We have a Confession® to make — we didn’t make this bourbon. But when we discovered a spirit this rich, complex, and unapologetically bold, we knew it deserved to be shared. The first chapter in our ongoing Confession series, “Original Sin,” is a 5-year-old Straight American Bourbon that marks the beginning of an honest story about craftsmanship, temptation, and redemption — one sip at a time.
The Grain Blend
A classic bourbon recipe of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% barley, this mash bill delivers a full-bodied character with sweet caramel tones from the corn, balanced spice from the rye, and a touch of smoothness from the barley.
The Experience
At 52.5% ABV, Confession® Straight American Bourbon opens with notes of caramel and toasted oak, followed by hints of dark fruit, vanilla, and spice. Its long, warming finish invites reflection — bold, balanced, and impossible to forget.

Though not born within our stills, this 5-year-old, 105-proof bourbon was hand-selected for its exceptional quality and depth. Each barrel was chosen for its flavor integrity, ensuring that what we bottle is nothing short of excellent — a worthy addition to the Burnt Church family of spirits.
